Ayam Kambing Daun - A digression to my personal distress.

It was in the late eighties when a certain Malaysian politician was incarcerated in Singapore.

One day, he received a short note from Samy and the note reads: " Ayam Kambing Daun ."

Confused but confident in believing that the other knowledgeable and learned tenants in the same lodging at Changi must be able to decipher the "secret message", he went around showing the note to all the hard core criminals and senior gangsters within the Changi Prison to find out what the note was all about.

He was shocked that none of the street-smart tenants there could tell what " Ayam Kambing Daun " really means.

Exhausted with frustration, he sat at a quiet corner, staring at the note to figure out what was Samy trying to say to him.

"I am comming down", suddently, he heard someone whispering from behind; he looked back and saw an Indian warden trying to read the note he was holding in his hand.

"What did you say?" he asked.

"I am comming down" the warden replied.

"I know it says Ayam kambing Daun, but what does it mean?"

"It means the sender of the note will come down to Changi Prison to visit you!"

"But what has it got to do with Ayam, Kambing and Daun!" the politician exclaimed in distress.
